    The President's Council, established in 1993, comprises some of the University of Miami's most distinguished alumni, including corporate and community leaders. Membership is by invitation only. Council members contribute significantly to three main areas at the University: Educate, Engage, Lead. The mission of the President’s Council is to deepen understanding of the University, mentor and educate volunteers, alumni, families, supporters, and the broader community, and spearhead special initiatives and philanthropic efforts.

    The Hyperion Council is an undergraduate student organization that focuses on helping micro and small for-profit as well as not-for-profit enterprises in at-risk communities improve their business practices. Annually, the council launches an international project aimed at fostering crucial business concepts and implementing best practices in technology, entrepreneurship, accounting, finance, and overall business management for the benefit of individuals, their communities, and their nations.
